There are as many ways to heal as there are inhabitants on this planet, each method a response to individual need. Some techniques focus on the body. Others bridge the heart, mind and soul in varying degrees. But whatever the system, they all have one common thread: the ability to help a client relax into well-being. Sometimes one modality will be what is needed. At other times, a blending of approaches works best.

This is why I began exploring other techniques. Some of them I use often, (e.g., Quantum-Touch®, Energy ALIVE®, and Reiki), as part of a complete system. Others I use selectively, adding it to the healing session the way a good cook would add a touch of spice or fresh herbs to the soup.

It is often an intuitive process, what healing system I use during a treatment, and sometimes the greatest healing gift does not come from a class at all, but from the environment. I find that salt is a great detoxifier, for example, and that when I use healing plants in my office, energy blocks dissipate with ease.

Here is an abbreviated list of what I have studied.

Usui Shiki Reiki Ryoho, Master level (This is the traditional healing lineage of Reiki founded by Usui Sensei in Japan, transmitted to Cujiro Hayashi, then to Mrs. Hawayo Takata, who brought this healing technique to the United States. She initiated 22 Reiki masters in the U.S., and my instructor, Christopher Matsuo, received his initiation from 7 different masters in her line.)

Tenchi Shiki Reiki Ryoho, Master level (This is a martial art lineage of Reiki, direct from Japan, which contains a more comprehensive understanding of Reiki and its Tibetan roots. Founded by Usui Sensei in Japan, this line was transmitted to the Hirai family, who initiated Hidetoshi Mitsuoka, who then initiated my instructor, Christopher Matsuo. I also received Reiki attunements directly from Mitsuoka Sensei, when he came to the U.S. to teach. These 3rd generation and 4th generation attunements greatly expanded my understanding and awareness of this healing approach. )

Karuna™ Shiki Ryoho, Master level (Karuna Reiki was channeled / developed by William Rand, and I learned this lineage through Sifu Christopher Matsuo.)

My exposure to these lineages, as well as to N.E.T., Chinese energetics, various Daoist and Tibetan healing techniques, and to Bagua Zhang (an internal martial art) would not have been possible without the instruction of Sifu Christopher Matsuo, founder of the Dragon Gate School of Internal Martial Arts and Healing. Thank you, Chris.

Family Constellation Systems (This system was developed by Bert Hellinger, and offers a phenomenological approach to systemic issues within families and groups. Bert Hellinger, a German philosopher and writer, has been internationally acclaimed for his pioneering work on reconciliation and peace. I have been fortunate to study with him during successive visits to Japan and find this work helpful during energy sessions, especially for clients who have entrenched family complexities. For more information on this powerful work, I invite you to look at the official Hellinger website. See links.)

Other approaches to well-being, such as Ho'oponopono, orthobionomy, Energy Medicine (taught by Donna Eden), suicide and crisis intervention, raw foods (with Dr. Ann Wigmore), the Art of Allowing (the Abraham-Hicks material) all add to the blend of energies and assistance available during healing consultations.

If you are interested in learning more about any of the methods described above, please let me know.
